Stacy v. LSI Corporation (Pennsylvania, USA)

The Third Circuit affirmed a lower court’s decision to toss a suit filed by a transgender worker alleging that the technology company she worked for fired her for discriminatory reasons, saying the employee failed to show that her termination was pretextual. Janis Stacy, who was employed as an engineer by Agere Systems Inc. and its parent company LSI Corp. from 1998 to 2008, transitioned from a male with the name Jim to a female with the name Janis by mid-2005.
