Seger v. Norris (USA)

Anastasia L. Seger, formerly known as Lee R. Fielding, sued the Arkansas Depart of Corrections for a civil rights violation for an alleged failure to treat his gender identity disorder. Seger also claimed that he attempted to auto-castrate himself by purposely infecting his testicles. The case was dismissed with prejudice. He appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, although the appeal seems to have gone nowhere. It is unclear why he was in prison, although he was in prison in 1998 when a state court denied his name change.

Seger seems to have resumed use of “he” pronouns.
